Chrysoberyl – the symbolism of the stone

Chrysoberyl is a stone of the celestial bodies of Neptune and Venus. It is a transparent stone of golden-yellow color. It is particularly appreciated the variety of stones with the effect of "cat's eye". The name of this precious stone is made up of two names: chrysolite and beryl. Initially, the variety of beryl and chrysolite was in the topaz stone. The color varies from pale yellow to brown. This change is explained by a mixture of a chemical element.

For example, pale yellow-green has its color due to the presence of iron in its structure. Chrysoberyl is rarely used in the manufacture of jewellery, although a stone is very strong and suitable for this type of work. Despite this, the first chrysoberyl was very popular, precisely because it gave the effect of "cat's eye".

This name is explained by the structure of the color of the stone and the type of work: when cut to produce cabochon, the mineral forms a light-green specimen with a silky band of light extending across the surface of the stone and giving the effect of cat's eye.
